Metro Detroit Weather: Cooler Temperatures, Any Sun?
After a high of 87 on Sunday, Monday will be cooler, but what about the sun this week?
METRO DETROIT, MI — After a hot Sunday - the thermometer hit 87, some 12 degrees above normal — metro Detroit’s weather forecast for this workweek is decidedly cooler. The National Weather Service predicts a high of just 73 Monday afternoon and temperatures will slide from there.
Monday morning’s overcast skies could turn into rain by 1 p.m., the National Weather Service says. Skies will remain partly cloudy with a low around 54. A north wind will average 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Here’s a look at the rest of the workweek:
Tuesday: A chance of showers before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. North wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. North wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Wednesday:Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.
