'Rooted Gypsy Market Place' Set For July Opening

Two St. Clair Shores businesses are combining and will move to Mack Avenue near Nine Mile.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A pair of St. Clair Shores business are combining and moving into a new home. The Gypsi Dreamz Boutique and The Rustic Root are set to transform into “The Rooted Gypsy Market Place.” The combined business will occupy the former Harper Sports building near on Mack Avenue near Nine Mile Road.

"I'm excited. I know that I have so much more to give than my little shop right now," Holly Moyer, owner of the Gypsi Dreamz Boutique, told Metromode Detroit. "I'm ready for the changes and the challenges."

Gypsi Dreamz sells upcycled and organic goods, including furniture, antiques, soaps, and more, the magazine reported. The Rustic Root is a USA-only florist that buys locally when possible. Moyer said she often refers customers to The Rustic Root, so the pairing makes sense.

The Rooted Gypsy Market Place, which is planning a July opening, will occupy one storefront at the 34,000-square-foot building. A second will house an additional market where local crafters can rent booths to sell their own creations, Metromode reported.

"You won't have to drive all over town, picking up things," Moyer told the magazine. "We have all the talent already working in our shops."

Eventually, the new business may add a greenhouses to grow their own flowers. For now, Moyer said the idea is to get the new venture up and running. Rooted Gypsy Market Place is located at 23208 Greater Mack Ave. in St. Clair Shores.
