St. Clair Shores Family Receives Help Hand
After a year of tragedy, the Zielinski family gets holiday help from Lakeview Schools and city workers.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — The Holiday Spirit is alive and well in St. Clair Shores. At least that’s what resident Jeanette Zielinski believes.
Her son died earlier this year, leaving her to care for her four grandchildren. Unable to work because of her own physical problems, Zielinski is witnessing the blessings of the season as Lakeview Public Schools will provide Christmas gifts for the family and St. Clair Shores city employees worked together to pay off a bill for her, according to a C & G Newspapers’ report.
“In speaking with her, she herself worked in the medical profession for years and was always the person reaching out to provide the assistance that we are providing her. She was very taken aback and very appreciative,” said Christine Templeton, administrative assistant to the executive director of student services for Lakeview, of Zielinski.
“I called her and said, ‘We’d like to help pay some of your sidewalk bill,’” Kandt said. “It was a complete shock to her.”
