St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee 2021 Scholarship Program

The deadline for receipt of all application materials is 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 26.

The St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee is again offering $500.00 scholarships for outstanding Class of 2021 senior high school students who either live in St. Clair Shores or attend high school in St. Clair Shores.

The deadline for receipt of all application materials is 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021at the St. Clair Shores City Clerk’s office. Funding for these scholarships include funds from:State Representative Kevin HertelDaniel Couvreur and Anthony Couvreur The recipients of the scholarship awards will be selected by the Waterfront Environmental Committee’s Scholarship Subcommittee. The scholarship money must go towards tuition at a 4 year university or 2 year degree program. For more information, please call (586) 980-5844.

Application procedure – To be considered for the Scholarships, applicants are asked to submit:

  1. Completed application form including your typed, double spaced answers to 4 out of the 6 questions concerning Lake St. Clair on separate sheets,
  2. One letter of recommendation on letterhead from one of your current or past teachers or a recognized civic leader; and
  3. Applicant involved in at least one of the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee’s projects (Nautical Coast Cleanup, Storm Drain Stenciling, I94 Cleanup, etc.).

protection, safe use and enjoyment of Lake St. Clair for current and future generations.
