Six Men Charged With Running Stolen Cell Phone Crime Ring

Six men are accused of running storefronts where they would allegedly accept stolen cellphones and then repackage and resell the phones.

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — Six Macomb County men are accused of operating a stolen cellphone ring, according to a Macomb County Sheriff's Office press release.

Detectives beliveve that the suspects were running storefront locations where they would accept stolen, new-in-the-box cell phones. From there, the stolen phones would allegedly be repackaged, resold and shipped. Money generated by the sale of these phones would then reportedly be used to expand the criminal enterprise.
