Do you enjoy a nice cup of Biggby's finest coffee concoctions? Do you like helping out the folks who look
after our furry friends who need homes? Well, if the answer is yes to either question, I have the event for you!
The good folks at Biggby Coffee in Trenton are teaming up with the awesome people at the Friends of Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter for an event on Saturday, February 25th from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The goal is to raise some much needed funds to help them with their mission of finding forever homes for our furry friends.
Biggby Coffee, in Trenton was kind enough to invite the folks at the Friends of Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter to come on out for a coffee event. For every Grande/Super Specialty beverage sold between 11:00 & 4:00, they will donate $2.00 to the Shelter. The money for this event is used for everything from food, to veterinary care, and everything in between.

For the women, there is also a promotion involving LuLaRoe leggings at this event. For every pair of leggings sold, the good folks at LuLaRoe will be donating $5.00 to the Friends of Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter.
Cindy Dingell is the Chairperson for this non-profit group. She rescued her first dog roughly nine years ago, and has been fostering dogs for six years. She takes dogs into her home, dogs who have sometimes had traumatic lives or experiences, she does her dog whisperer thing, and when a great forever home is found, she unites her foster dogs with loving parents. I have watched Cindy do these good deeds for years, and can honestly say there is no better advocate for homeless dogs.

The challenge of running a successful no kill shelter takes two very important things. Manpower, and money. They have the manpower, and dedicated people, they just need the money to pay the bills. This job entails countless hours of travel to pick up animals, as well as caring for animals once they have them, and then matching them with great adoptive candidates. It also requires many hours of fundraising. This is where our community can help.
If you would like to help out the Friends of Woodhaven & Trenton Animal Shelter, you can come on down and enjoy a concoction from Biggby's, or you can just show up and drop a donation in the jar that Cindy will have. You can also meet her, or someone from the shelter, and learn about what they do. I am told that they'll have
pictures of adoptable pets with them as well, just in case you happen to be looking for a best friend for life!
If you are busy, maybe not a coffee drinker, you can also support this great cause right from your computer. Heck, you can do it right now! Just go to their Facebook page, and click the “Donate” link to make a PayPal donation. I know they'll sure appreciate it...
