Children’s Miracle Network Hospital Grants to Beaumont Children's

Funds benefit children's health programs at Beaumont Children's locations across Metro Detroit

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has announced financial support for programs of Beaumont Children’s. Nearly one million dollars in grants have been be issued to enhance pediatric programs at Beaumont locations for fall/winter 2020.

“Beaumont Children’s has enjoyed a more than 30-year relationship with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Tom McGannon, VP community engagement, Beaumont Health Foundation. “In that time, CMN donations of more than $70 million have helped us pioneer new health care solutions for children and provide access to the latest research and technology.”

The success of the Beaumont Children’s/CMN partnership relies upon the generosity of others. Along with support from corporate partners and individuals in the community, Beaumont team members donate through an annual employee giving campaign. Corporate partners often reach out to their employees and customers through promotions, generating donations gathered one dollar at a time. Major corporate partners include: Speedway, Costco, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Rite Aid, Ace Hardware, RE/MAX, Panda Express, Dairy Queen, and Marriott International.

CMN funding supports pediatric programs at all eight Beaumont Hospitals (Dearborn, Farmington Hills, Grosse Pointe, Royal Oak, Trenton, Taylor, Troy and Wayne), as well as Beaumont Health Center, Center for Exceptional Families and other outpatient sites.

One area of funding for 2020 included a nearly $400,000 donation to purchase 115 Halo Bassinets, updating current bassinets throughout the health system. Dr. Sam Flanders, chief quality officer, Beaumont Health, and his team have recommended the new bassinets for increased convenience and safety in the Beaumont pediatric areas.
