Intoxicated Trenton Woman Found Asleep at Railroad Tracks
The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a 23-year-old woman on drinking and driving charges after she was found asleep in her vehicle stopped at the train tracks on Van Horn Road near Division Street Dec.19 at about 12:36 a.m.
The report said the woman was passed out at the wheel of a gold 2004 Mercury Marquis with her foot on the brakes and driver’s side window down. When officers arrived, the driver of a second vehicle had parked behind the Mercury and turned the hazard lights on.
The driver advised police of the situation before an officer reached in through the suspect's open window, placed the vehicle in park and took the keys out of the ignition.

When the suspect awoke, she told police that she had an undiagnosed sleeping disorder. However, officers said they could smell “a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle and that the woman’s speech was slurred.”
The woman was coming from her grandmother's house on Grosse Ile, where she had some wine, the report said.
