Southshore Medical Center Employee Reports Incident of Petty Theft

On Jan. 20 at about 3:57 p.m., an employee at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center reported that between $400 and $500 worth of personal items were stolen from her desk at work.

According to the employee, the missing items included:One pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, a prescription bottle (about 70 pills of Fioricet) and a pearl bracelet, the report said.

The employee said she did not know who took the items, but told police it is possible a patient gained access to her office.
