Trenton Soroptimists' 13th Anniversary Motorcycle Ride
Changes to Annual Charity Fundraiser
Soroptimist International of Trenton Area, which dedicates its volunteer efforts to improving the lives of women and girls, will hold its 13th annual women-sponsored motorcycle ride, “Save the Girls,” on September 10, 2016. The Soroptimists are inviting the general public to participate and support the worthy causes of raising awareness of women’s health (breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers) concerns, domestic violence, and human trafficking. All proceeds from this ride will benefit those issues.
The ride begins at Biker Bob’s Harley-Davidson, 14100 Telegraph Road in Taylor. Check-in is from 9:00 A.M. – 11:15 A.M. where cider, coffee, and donuts will be available. The deadline for pre-registration by mail or online (http://formsmarts.com/form/1mdn) is August 28. The cost is $25 per rider, $40 for rider plus passenger, and $15 for a non-rider for a meal ticket only. The cost the day of ride is $30 per rider, $45 for rider plus passenger, and the meal ticket for non-riders is still $15. The registration cost includes a police/Motown H.O.G. Chapter Road Captain escorted ride, ride pin to the first 300 registrants, and a wristband good for a 10% discount off of aftermarket parts and official licensed merchandise. The ride will leave at promptly 11:30 A.M.
The new ending venue change is hosted by Rosie O’Grady’s, 14980 Dix-Toledo Road in Southgate. Everyone is invited to join in for a full barbeque lunch, dessert table, drink specials, 50/50 raffles, and a gift basket raffle. Entertainment will be provided by the band Remedy.
