Trenton Teacher Featured on Local Television Show to Speak on Victory Day
Trenton teacher, football coach and Victory Day founder Aaron Segedi found time in his busy schedule to speak about one of the Trenton area's most cherished events.

Aaron Segedi has his hands full these days.
Despite being a Trenton High School football coach and a teacher at Arthurs Middle School, Segedi manages to find time to promote one of the Trenton community's more cherished annual events—Victory Day.
Segedi recently sat down with Jill Washburn, host of a television show called "Street Beat" that airs Sundays at 12:30 p.m. on CW50, to spread the word about the event he founded in 2010.
Victory Day is an event set up for cognitively and physically impaired children to have an opportunity to play football or be cheerleaders at the football stadium at Trenton High School.Â
This is the fourth year of the event, which continues to get bigger and bigger every year. Last year, the athletic shoe powerhouse Nike agreed to sponsor the event and provided jerseys and footballs to all participants. Nike will be back this year as a major sponsor for the event.
The former head coach of the University of Michigan football team, Lloyd Carr, was a special guest at the event last year and has agreed to continue his role as emcee for the foreseeable future.
Segedi has been approached by administrators and coaches at high schools across the country to learn how to hold Victory Days of their own.
Victory Day 2013 is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 14.
