Newspaper Carrier Discovers Hit-and-Run Victim; Did You See It?
The woman in her 20s appears to have been struck in a fatal hit-and-run sometime overnight. Police are seeking witnesses.

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, MI – A woman in her 20s was struck and killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident some time overnight in Oxford Township, police said Tuesday.
A newspaper delivery woman found the victim about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday off the roadway south of Drahner Road east of Olive Drive, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The sheriff’s office’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is assisting deputies from the Oxford Township Sub-station in the investigation of the crash.
Vehicle debris was found near the victim. That and other evidence at the scene indicates that the crash happened several hours prior to the victim being found, the sheriff’s office said.

The victim has not yet been positively identified but is believed to a resident of Brandon Township.
This is an active investigation, the sheriff’s office said. There are currently no suspects or witnesses to the crash, and police don’t have a description of the vehicle they believe struck the victim.
