The single most pressing issue facing our state is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Jobs - I will work to ensure that opportunities are available for individuals to open up businesses and continue to hire people in our state. We cannot let jobs, and then families, leave Michigan for another opportunity in another state. I will work to make Oakland County, specifically, job friendly, investment friendly, and business friendly. We need to make sure we have cutting edge industries in tech and automation in Oakland County.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My opponent does not want government transparency or accountability - as evidenced by the votes and initiatives she and her Democrat colleagues have put forth during her term. I believe that we need transparency in government contracts so that the hard working tax payers of Oakland County know exactly what their hard earned dollars are going towards. And, we need to hold accountable all of those contractors whether it is in health care, mental health treatment, and roads.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was an assistant prosecutor, supporting law and justice for all. I was a state representative, fighting for limited government for my constituents. I spearheaded reforms to protect victims and survivors of sexual assault. I led a task force to improve how we address mental health treatment and substance abuse treatment.

What steps should state government take to bolster economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic for local businesses?
We need to open businesses up so they can hire people and create jobs. We cannot recover without bringing the jobs back.
How will you address the calls for racial justice and police reform?
We need more diversity and more training.

I will work to restore Oakland County back to the leading county in the country. I will work to improve our mental health treatment programs so that all are treated as human beings. And, I will ensure that the residents voices are heard.
