Dive Teams Recover Teen's Body from Middle Straits Lake
Seven teens were on a boat during the overnight hours. They called 911 when one of the teens jumped into the lake and didn't resurface.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — Dive teams recovered a 17-year-old teen's body from Middle Straits Lake Thursday morning, authorities said.
West Bloomfield Deputy Chief Curt Lawson confirmed the teen's death to The Detroit News. “Our hearts go out to the families,” he said.

The search began around 1:30 a.m. Thursday after getting a 911 call that the teen hadn't resurfaced after jumping into the lake from a boat, according to media reports.

Oakland County Sheriff's Office dive team assisted West Bloomfield police and fire crews in the search of the lake, which is north of Pontiac Trail and south of Commerce Road.
All of the teens are students at the Walled Lake School District, Patton told the TV station.
Authorities are now calling it a recovery rather than a rescue effort.
