Fire Destroys House Days Away from Occupancy
Six West Bloomfield Township fire stations respond to fire about 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A house under construction was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning, West Bloomfield Township fire officials said.
The house in the 6200 block of Rue de Lac near Pontiac Trail and Halsted was about two weeks away from occupancy, The Oakland Press reports.
Crews from six township fire stations were dispatched to the scene of the fire, which was reported around 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

There were no injuries in the fire.
While the West Bloomfield Fire Department battled the blaze for several hours, Bloomfield Township firefighters provided coverage.
