Man Literally Takes a Licking After Tongue Lashing: Police

Two men got into an argument over wood chips and one attacked the other with his tongue, police said.

MILFORD, MI – A crime ripe for puns took place in Milford a couple of weeks ago.

It started with a verbal tongue lashing and ended with the perpetrator, a 56-year-old man, allegedly licking the face of his girlfriend’s 27-year-old son.

Licked him from his chin to his nose,” Milford Police Chief Thomas Lindenberg explained to WXYZ-TV.

Write a song about it, and you might title it “Tongue Fu Fighting.”

The whole thing started over what Lindenberg said was “a very silly, a very silly reason to have a confrontation” — the storage of wood chips at the home in the 1100 block of Garden Road.

Lindenberg told the TV station the homeowner’s son and boyfriend have had conflicts in the past. He allowed that a “Memorial Day picnic may not be comfortable over there.”

The 27-year-old thinks the older man should be charged with simple assault and battery, and police are investigating, the TV station said.
