'Medical Main Streets' in Oakland County, China to Cooperate
Dignitaries will will sign agreement that could lead to medical technology trade deals.

WATERFORD, MI – Representatives from Oakland County and China will sign documents Friday establishing a “Friendship City Relationship” that could lead to medical technology trade deals and cooperative ventures.
At a formal ceremony, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and Lan Shaomin, secretary of the party, city of Taizhou, will sign the agreement linking Medical Main Street, the healthcare and life science initiative in Oakland County, with its overseas equivalent, China Medical City.
The agreement establishes a framework for opportunities such as technology transfer program and the commercialization of new products and technologies, Oakland County officials said in a news release.

The ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. Friday at the Oakland County Executive Office Building, Toffolo Room (fifth floor), 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford.
