DECA Virtual Business competitions use game-like simulations where students knowledge in sports and entertainment marketing, fashion, accounting, retailing, personal finance, restaurant management or hotel management is tested over eleven days. The simulations are based on material learned within their high school business courses as well as the use of common core math, reading and critical thinking skills. Students compete with others around their region to earn the opportunity to attend the International Career Conference where the top teams will compete live against each other for cash prizes, scholarships and recognition.
