Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps' 2017 Concert Tour A Success!

Youth Fife and Drum Corps performs at historic sites in the U.S. East Coast

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps returned on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from another successful summer Concert Tour. After months of hard work, the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps represented their home town well on the East Coast. Compliments on the Corps’ excellent musicianship and precision marching were heard after each performance. The Corps’ summer 2017 Concert Tour took them to Fort Ticonderoga in Ticonderoga, NY; Washington Crossing Historic Park in Washington Crossing, PA; Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore, MD; The Maryland State House in Annapolis, MD; The Annapolis Maritime Museum in Annapolis, MD; and the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. As part of their performance perks, the Corps is often given the opportunity to take guided and behind the scenes tours of each historical site, which helps bring history to life.

The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps consists of students, ranging in age from 12 to 18. Their members are from Plymouth Michigan and its surrounding communities. The Corps prepares year round for their annual performance seasons. The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the ancient arts of color guard, fifing, and drumming through live performances at parades, historical and patriotic celebrations, concerts, cultural affairs, and other civic events.
