Prep Alum Signs $33M Deal to Play Hockey for Montreal

Jeff Petry, 27, who played three years of varsity hockey during his time a St. Mary’s Preparatory school in Orchard Lake, has signed a $33 million, six-year contract to play hockey for the Montreal Canadians.

Petry, the son of former Detroit Tigers pitcher Dan Petry from the 1984 World Series team, is a defenseman and free agent who was traded from the Edmonton Oilers at the trade deadline this season.
