Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Rockin’ Under the Stars Summer Event Cancelled
Each summer for the past nine years, the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted Rockin' Under the Stars, an outdoor concert featuring live bands, food and beverages at Multi-Lakes Conservation Association in Commerce. In past years, the event has seen over 3,000 attendees. Due to the Coronavirus (COVIS-19) pandemic, the Rockin' Under the Stars event, scheduled for August 1, is being canceled this year.
"In these unprecedented times we must ensure the safety and protect the health of our entire community and region," said Laura Bolyard, executive director of the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce in Walled Lake. "Although canceling this wonderful community event was a difficult decision for event and Chamber leadership, our top priority is the wellbeing of our guests, entertainers, sponsors, volunteers and staff. As a business community we are powering through this tough time and making the difficult sacrifices necessary to ensure a bright future for all Lakes Area residents. We have already started planning a wonderful 10th anniversary Rockin' Under the Stars celebration for next year on August 7, 2021. Our featured bands, Power Play and Magic Bus, are already committed to perform at Rockin' in 2021."

The Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is West Oakland's Regional Chamber, with offices in Walled Lake. The Chamber has served the communities of Commerce Township, Walled Lake, Waterford, White Lake, Wixom, Wolverine Lake and the Union Lake Business District since 1950.
