Sharing Shalom: A Mid-Lenten Virtual Retreat

The Pine Hill Congregational Church is sponsoring a mid-season Lenten Retreat to get a sense of how the good news is best lived and shared.

How do we get to the good news that is at the very beginning of the gospel of Mark? Perhaps the Hebrew concept of "shalom" can best show the means by which to grasp the critical message of Jesus. This way of ordering life, according to shalom, will be shared at a mid-season Lenten retreat on Saturday, March 13, 2021, from 9:00 am-12:30 pm, over Zoom, sponsored by the Pine Hill Congregational Church and led by the Rev. Dr. Charles Packer. We will go into the idea of shalom as suggested by the writings of Sarah Bessey, Walter Brueggemann, and Lisa Sharon Harper. There is no charge, all are welcome, and you may email drcapacker@gmail.com for a link.
