WATCH: TV Anchor Reports Exciting Michigan Win -- There's Just One Problem
At least he was a good sport about it afterwards.
Live TV is hard. Especially when you’re going live when one of the greatest finishes in college football history is unfolding.
Facing fourth down with 10 seconds left Saturday, victory all but assured, the Michigan Wolverines still had to punt. The punter fumbled the snap, and Michigan State’s Jalen Watts-Jackson ran it in for the winning score as time expired.

WZZM’s Jamal Smith apparently missed that part. And, well, things didn’t end well for him.

Indeed it was electrifying inside the Big House, the Wolverines’ stadium in Ann Arbor. Michigan-Michigan State is one of the best rivalries in college football, and a potential playoff spot was on the line.
“Both sides incredibly upset by the officiating in that game,” Smith continues.
Yes, that usually happens.
“Michigan coming up with a crucial stop, and they were able to run out the clock,” he finishes. “People are spilling out of Michigan Stadium into the streets of Ann Arbor, celebrating as the Paul Bunyan Trophy is back in Ann Arbor for the first time since 2012.”
Oh, no.
Michigan did get a crucial stop. The Wolverines were not, however, able to run out the clock, given that muffed snap.
