West Bloomfield Marks National Trails Day With 7-Mile Walk
Walk West Bloomfield will lead guided walk, but there will be exit points along the way for people who don't want to walk the full distance.

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – To commemorate National Trails Day on June 4, the Walk West Bloomfield group will lead a guided walk along the scenic and historic rail-to-trail network.
The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at Walnut Creek Middle School, 7601 Walnut Lake Road, and continues to Sylvan Manor Park.

Along the way, walkers will learn how the trail came to be, engage in birdwatching and enjoy the scenery. If those educational and pastoral offerings aren’t incentive enough, every participant gets a free T-shirt while supplies last.

The walk is approximately 7 miles and buses will provide transportation back to Walnut Creek Middle School.

There will be return points throughout the trail for people who don’t want to walk the full distance.
