YogaSix Reopens First Michigan Studio in West Bloomfield
Local Entrepreneur Brings Modern Take on Yoga to Michigan; Reopens State's First YogaSix Studio

YogaSix, a modern fitness boutique offering a fresh perspective on one of the world’s oldest practices, reopened its first Michigan studio in West Bloomfield after closing in March due to COIVID-19 sanctions. Located at 33340 W 14 Mile Rd., the studio will be operating at a 25 percent capacity and introduces people of all ages and abilities to the various health and wellness benefits of the brand’s unique take on yoga, in a welcoming, modern and calming environment.
To ensure the safety of all members and staff during COVID, YogaSix is taking extra safety precautions. The studio offers contactless check-in, and members will need to bring their own mats, props and towels to practice. Hand sanitizers and wipes will be provided throughout the studio, restrooms are equipped with no touch dispensers and the staff will thoroughly clean in between all classes. The studio has also installed a germicidal UVC light and air is purged by an exhaust fan between each class for 30 minutes. Hands-on adjustments by instructors have been eliminated and class sizes are reduced to 25 percent capacity.
YogaSix West Bloomfield is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Lisa Beaulieu. Lisa spent 23 years in financial management in the corporate world before owning her first business in 2013. Lisa has practiced yoga since 2014 and is a certified instructor. She was introduced to YogaSix in 2019 and knowing firsthand the benefits, she is excited to bring the first YogaSix location to West Bloomfield.

“I love that YogaSix takes yoga, puts a modern spin on it, and allows everybody to experience the benefits,” said Lisa. “I’m truly passionate about giving the community a practice that’s energizing, empowering, and fun. I’m looking forward to bringing YogaSix to Michigan, so I can make yoga an accessible practice for all.”
A variety of yoga classes are offered at YogaSix to encompass everything from deep stretching to stress relief to high intensity training. Offering six core formats – Y6 101, Y6 Restore, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Hot, Y6 Power and Y6 Sculpt Flow – each class caters to every fitness level and strengthens the mind-body connection.

The new studio plans to make an impression with its unique version of yoga. Particularly notable is the use of modern language instead of Sanskrit to describe its practice, as the traditional language can be intimidating to newcomers. The studio provides class options for everybody, from beginners seeking a recovery to more advanced students. YogaSix wants to introduce yoga in a modern practice that allows all levels to feel welcome. New students are always greeted by a wellness advisor when they enter the studio to educate and empower them before they engage in a YogaSix experience.
Monthly memberships will be available for four, eight or unlimited visits per month, as well as drop-in classes. More information, specific hours and class schedule details can be found at https://www.yogasix.com/location/west-bloomfield and the studio can be contacted by email at westbloomfield@yogasix.com or by phone at 248-432-2730.
