Dunkin' to Host Cop on a Rooftop Event for Special Olympics MI
Local law enforcement to take to the roof of select Dunkin' Donuts in Michigan on May 17 for a great cause

Local law enforcement is set to take to the rooftops of 10 Michigan Dunkin’ locations for the state’s second annual “Cop on a Rooftop” event benefiting the Special Olympics of Michigan on Friday, May 17 from 5 a.m. to noon.
Designed as a unique way to generate funds and awareness for the nonprofit, Special Olympics athletes and their families and Utica Shore Baseball mascot are among the special guests who will join law enforcement and rise to the occasion to show their support.
In honor of the Special Olympics athletes and law enforcement officers participating in the rooftop event, Dunkin’ will provide each guest who visits a Cop on a Rooftop location that day to donate will receive a free donut coupon.

“We are excited to bring this highly interactive and memorable event back to Michigan residents,” said Kelly Vaughn, Senior Field Marketing Manager for Dunkin' Brands. “We are grateful to local law enforcement for volunteering their time to help make this event even bigger and better this year as we work together to raise awareness and donations for Special Olympics Michigan.”

In 2018, seven Michigan Dunkin’ locations and local law enforcement raised more than $7,000 for the Special Olympics of Michigan. Cop of a Rooftop was created in 2003 by Dunkin’and the Special Olympics in Illinois. Today, more than 270 Dunkin’ store participate in this great cause helping to raise a total of nearly $4 million for Special Olympics.
