Highland Parents Say Nanny Cam Captures Ghost Walking By Baby
Heather Brough and Joshua Higgins, of Highland, decided to look at nanny cam footage when they found strange, purple marks on their baby.
HIGHLAND, MI — A Michigan couple is "freaked out" after they say their a ghost attacked their 1-year-old daughter. And they have video they claim proves it.
Joshua Higgins and Heather Brough, of Highland Township, told WXYZ-TV their nanny cam recorded a ghostly figure walking past their baby, Lily. They decided to check the footage after discovering strange, purple scratches on the girl's cheeks.
"Seeing Lily’s face with the scratches was so bizarre and frightening," Brough told People Magazine. "I was crying, 'What happened to you?’ I grabbed her jacket and ran over to my mother-in-law’s house. Nobody knew what happened. We wondered if she’d scratched herself, but when we put her hands up to the scratches it did not match up."

The video appears to show a figure walking past the child's crib. Perplexed, the girl immediately stands up and looks around. Brough said she stopped what she was doing, sprinted up the stairs and grabbed her daughter.
"It was chilling," Higgins told the TV station."It was literally a chill down your spin, like that 'what if' factor — Is this what I just saw?"

Brough said the spectral figure may have attacked her too. She's also heard an "angry male voice" scream and laugh.
"It scares us that it could do something else," Brough said. "I mean, there was a morning I woke up and I felt like someone’s hands were around my neck."
While speculation abounds as to who the ghost could be, the couple agrees on one thing: They're not sticking around to find out.
“This has made us want to leave as soon as possible," Brough told People. "As soon as possible we’re out of here. This is a spirit. I don’t know what its intentions are, but at this point it’s becoming physically harmful.”
Patch has reached out to the couple and will update if we hear back.
