Rep. Runestad will be visiting elementary schools in White Lake and Milford to celebrate March is Reading Month.

State Rep. Jim Runestad today announced his March is Reading Month tour in southeastern Michigan. During March, the lawmaker will visit four elementary schools in White Lake and Milford to celebrate the month-long reading event.
March is Reading Month is an annual educational program designed to recognize the importance of reading inside and outside the classroom. This year, Rep. Runestad will visit Lakewood, Kurtz, Oxbow and Johnson elementary schools to read to students, answer questions and discuss the importance of reading at an early age.
“A love for reading will benefit children throughout their lives,” Rep. Runestad said. “I commend students for their commitment to education, as well as parents and teachers for emphasizing the importance of childhood literacy.”
