On Thursday, October 10, 104.3 WOMC hosted its second annual Radiothon and raised more than $180,000 for children treated at Beaumont Children’s. A Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals event, the Radiothon broadcast was live from the South Tower Concourse of Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anchoring the production was 104.3 WOMC personalities Stephen Clark, JoAnne Purtan, Jim Johnson and Beau Daniels, joined by special guests Roop Raj of Fox TV2 and Ann Marie LaFlamme of WXYZ TV7.

Each year, the CMN Radiothon highlights the stories of local patients and families treated at Beaumont Children’s. These stories will included children like Gabby who suffered multiple injuries from a sledding accident, Lexi who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and Braylen who can now express himself verbally after receiving a scholarship to attend the RE/MAX Communication Preschool Program.

Donations came in from $1 to $5,000 with 75 Radiothon listeners becoming Miracle Makers by pledging a $20 monthly donation.
