Local Avon Business Helps Raise Funds for Elementary School

Washington Elementary School decided this year to have quite an undertaking with a new playground for the children. This would require a lot of funding coming from private sources as well as fundraising. The school has held many fundraisers this year from a lot of different sources all organized by the very generous parents, teachers and principal at the school. Their lofty of goal of $30,000 was helped a little more this past week as a local Avon business owner, Julie Abshire ran a fundraiser for the school allowing them to meet their fundraiser goal of just over $500 by netting sales of over $1290!

"Usually when people think of Avon, they don't really think of fundraisers, but Avon could work as an excellent fundraiser opportunity for many local organizations!" says Julie, "Ive seen some local organizations walk away with over $1,000 earned in just 2 weeks of selling. Anything is really possible with this company as Avon really has a great product to get out to the public."
