Wyandotte Man, 41, Dies in Vehicle-Tree Crash

Gary Edward Grundy was not wearing a seat belt and did not appear to attempt to brake before the impact.

A 41-year-old Wyandotte man died Oct. 23 when he crashed his 1997 Honda Accord into a tree in Columbia Township, according to a report on MLive.

Gary Edward Grundy veered off the road and struck a tree shortly after 11 a.m. on a two-lane road in the small township in Jackson County, according to the report. He was the sole person in the vehicle.

Grundy was not wearing a seat belt and did not appear to attempt to brake before the impact, according to the report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Michigan State Police troopers are still investigating the details on what led up to the crash.
