Wyandotte No. 9 on List of Best Suburbs for Young Professionals

Communities in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties figure prominently in a new listing by the real estate company Movoto of the best Detroit suburbs for young professionals.

The riverside suburb of Wyandotte comes in ninth on the list with a low cost of living and plenty of affordable craftsman, bungalow, and cottage style homes on large lots.

The cost of living in Wyandotte scores 85, compared with the Michigan average of 90 on a 100-point scale, Movoto said. Residents ages 22-29 make up 10.8 percent of the population.
