Bomb Threat That Shut Down Lakeville Schools Not Credible: Cops
Officials announced a district-wide closure Friday morning due to an "active threat." The threat was later deemed not credible.
LAKEVILLE, MN — A bomb threat that led to the shutdown of all Lakeville Area school buildings and facilities was deemed "not to be credible" following a Lakeville Police Department investigation.
Just after 7 a.m. Friday, school officials announced a district-wide closure due to an "active threat."
At 1 p.m., Lakeville Area Schools released details from the police investigation:

"We take all threats seriously and as with any ongoing investigation limited information can be shared," the district said. "However, we are now able to confirm that a bomb threat was made overnight to Lakeville South High School and other unnamed schools in the Lakeville Area School district."
Students will continue distance learning for the rest of Friday. All on-site school activities have been canceled.
