Another Man Has Drowned Trying To Save Kids In MN

It's the second time this week that a man died while trying to save children who were struggling in the water in Minnesota.

DULUTH, MN — A 31-year-old man has drowned in Minnesota after trying to save two young children at a river in Duluth Wednesday. It's the second time this week that a man died while trying to save children who were struggling in the water.

Authorities found the body of Kevin Ingles, 31, was "after an extensive search and rescue effort."

Just before 2 p.m., two children — ages 5 and 8 — began struggling in the St. Louis River near the Boy Scout Landing. Bystanders rescued both children.

However — Ingles, of Superior, Wisconsin — went below the surface during the rescue efforts the children and did not resurface.

At 5:20 p.m., Ingles' body was recovered.
