KANDIYOHI COUNTY, MN — Authorities are warning motorists about the dangers of snow and ice buildup on cars. The Minnesota State Patrol posted a photo last week of a shattered windshield that was the result of ice that fell off the roof of a semi.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said. The driver was westbound on Highway 23 in Kandiyohi County and met the semi traveling eastbound.

As winter weather continues, authorities are asking people to remove snow and ice from their cars.
