Macalester Becomes 1st MN College To Require COVID-19 Vaccine
Macalester College in St. Paul is joining the growing number of schools that require students receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
ST. PAUL, MN — Macalester College Friday became the first Minnesota college to require that students and staff receive the COVID-19 vaccine before the fall semester. The deadline to be vaccinated is Aug. 2.
"After much consideration about how to minimize COVID-19 transmission risk next fall, we have decided to require, with limited exceptions, all students and employees who will work or study on campus to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19," wrote Macalester President Suzanne Rivera.
"Put simply, our students and employees deserve to live and work in an environment where public health measures help keep us all safer."
