MINNEAPOLIS — Mother's Day is Sunday, and the weather looks decent — though less than perfect— for outdoor gatherings in Minnesota. The high will hit 59, and there is a 20 percent of showers.

"A quiet stretch of weather will continue through the weekend into next week," says the National Weather Service.

"Frost will again be a concern overnight tonight with lows in the 30s. A slightly elevated risk for fire weather exists for Friday with low relative humidity values, however lighter winds prevent the area from seeing a second day of Red Flag conditions."
