The Minnesota State Legislature has come to a compromise on some police reforms, but the agreement leaves out some key proposals that the People of Color Caucus were calling for.

Since the murder of George Floyd last year there has been a major push at the Minnesota State Capitol for police reforms.
Last year the legislature passed a package of reforms that included a ban on chokeholds. But the call for change accelerated again this year after the April shooting death of Daunte Wright during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center.
