MN Weather: Severe Storms Possible Monday

TWIN CITIES, MN — There is a risk for severe weather in the Twin Cities metro area Monday. "Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and continue into the evening," says the National Weather Service.

"There is a marginal risk (1 out of 5) that a few storms could produce damaging winds and large hail (darker green)."

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 80. South southwest wind around 10 mph.

Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 57. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 69. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight.

Thursday: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. East wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
