New Vaccine Tool Live For All Minnesotans
Residents over 65 do not need to re-register if they previously signed up for a previous vaccination program.
MINNESOTA—A new tool went live Thursday that will help all Minnesotans figure out when, where and how they can be vaccinated against COVID-19.
“The Vaccine Connector is the next step of the state’s vaccination strategy to meet Minnesotans where they are and connect them to vaccine opportunities, no matter where they live or their personal circumstances,” a release from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Thursday.
Residents aged 65+ don't need to re-register if they have already signed up for the vaccine lottery, however signing up for this tool will automatically enter them into the vaccine lottery.

“We still have a frustratingly limited vaccine supply from the federal government, but every Minnesotan should know their chance to get a vaccine will come. Today, we are connecting them directly to that process,” Walz said. “ We need to make it as easy as possible for every Minnesotan to get the vaccine when it’s their turn – no matter where they live and no matter their personal circumstances. The options we’re providing will help make that happen.”
When a Minnesotan becomes eligible for the vaccine, the vaccine connector will alert them before sending information about how to schedule an appointment, and notifying them of vaccine opportunities in their area. Residents will still make their appointments through registered vaccinators, but the Vaccine Connector can assist in helping them find out when they are eligible for the vaccine and find an opportunity to get vaccinated.

“The Vaccine Connector will play a vital role moving forward to help us connect each and every Minnesotan to a vaccine once they’re eligible,” Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan said. “We are working hard to make sure folks in every community in Minnesota feel connected to our vaccine network and know how to get a vaccine safely and confidently once supply increases.”
Minnesotans who have not been vaccinated yet are strongly encouraged to sign up for the Vaccine Connector, regardless of their current eligibility. The program is free, and there is no time restriction to sign up.
