The woman had alcohol in her system, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

WADENA COUNTY, MN — Police say a car crashed in Wadena County early Thursday morning after a passenger in the car "jerked" the steering wheel. At 12:05 a.m. on Minnesota State Highway 71, a Chevrolet Aveo was southbound approaching 210th Street.

A woman riding as a passenger grabbed the steering wheel and jerked it, causing the driver to lose control, authorities said. The Aveo crashed and rolled over in the right ditch.

Alcohol was found in the system of the 30-year-old passenger from Fridley, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. She was not injured in the crash.
