Parkland shooting survivor and gun control activist David Hogg announced plans Thursday to launch a progressive competitor to Mike Lindell's Minnesota-based MyPillow company.

Lindell, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the MyPillow company, has spread baseless conspiracy theories about voter fraud in the presidential election and falsely claims Donald Trump won a second term in office.

"Progressives can make a better pillow, run a better business and help make the world a better place while doing it," Hogg tweeted. Hogg will team up with entrepreneur William LeGate.

Meanwhile, neither MyPillow nor the company's CEO has a working Twitter account as of Thursday. Twitter recently suspended Lindell's personal account and the official MyPillow account after they were used to spread election misinformation.

MyPillow's ban from Twitter is the latest in a series of corporate setbacks for Lindell, who lost several significant business partners in January and faces a potential lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems over misinformation he has spread.

Lindell was at the White House during the final weekend of Trump's presidency. A photo of his notes captured by The Washington Post suggested he discussed the idea of declaring "martial law if necessary" with Trump.

Lindell is considering a run for governor of Minnesota.
