Trying To Get The Coronavirus Vaccine In MN? Do These 4 Things

Anyone 16 or older can schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in Minnesota. Finding an appointment, however, is not easy.

MINNESOTA — On Tuesday, the state of Minnesota directed all vaccine administrators — both in public and private healthcare settings — to allow residents 16 and older to sign up for the coronavirus vaccine. You can now get vaccinated regardless of your job or personal health situation, as long as you are at least 16.

Actually finding an appointment, however, can still be very challenging. And there's no one way to find a time slot that's open.

If you're looking to get vaccinated as soon as possible in Minnesota, do these four things:

1. First, check out the Vaccine Spotter website, which pulls in potential vaccine appointments open at Walgreens, Walmart, Hy-Vee, CVS, Thrify White, and Sam's Club. Vaccine Spotter has a section just for Minnesotans.

2. Second, go directly to the websites of pharmacies and retailers that are administering the vaccine in Minnesota. Going straight to the source means you will have the most accurate and up-to-date information.

4. Finally, be sure to sign up for the Minnesota Vaccine Connector, which will connect you with local resources and provide updates during the state's COVID-19 vaccination effort.
