What Will School Look Like In Fall? Minnesotans Find Out Thursday

The Minnesota Department of Education will release fall guidance for K-12 schools Thursday.

MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Department of Education is set to release its fall guidance for K-12 schools Thursday. Schools across the state were forced to close and offer "distance learning" this spring because of the coronavirus crisis. Sports leagues and other extracurricular activities were canceled as well.

Instead of tradition graduation ceremonies, Minnesota's high school seniors and their families participated in car parades and virtual ceremonies.

If, when, and how schools will reopen in the fall remains largely unknown. Minnesota is currently in "Phase III" of Gov. Tim Walz's four-phase plan to reopen the state.
