Woman Claims Al Franken Inappropriately Touched Her In 2010

FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA — A second woman has come forward to accuse Sen. Al Franken, D-MN, of sexual misconduct, telling CNN that he inappropriately touched her rear end while taking a photo with her in 2010.

Lindsay Menz, 33, told the network that Franken grabbed her butt as the two posed for a photo at the Minnesota State Fair.

"It wasn't around my waist. It wasn't around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt," Menz told CNN of the alleged touching. "I was like, oh my God, what's happening."

Menz was at the fair with her husband and father, whose small business was sponsoring a booth with a local radio station. She spent the day meeting local elected officials and others who were attending the fair, and said she had a brief cordial encounter with Franken before the two posed for the photo.

It’s the first allegation of sexual misconduct against Franken while he was serving in the Senate.

Franken was accused last week of groping and kissing local radio host Leeann Tweeden in 2007 when he was a comedian.

In a statement to CNN, the senator said he did not recall taking a photo with Menz.

"I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don't remember taking this picture," Franken said. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected."
