Woman's Body Found In Lakeville Tuesday Morning

LAKEVILLE, MN — Lakeville police are investigating after a woman was found dead in a parking lot early Tuesday morning. One man is being held in police custody in the case, authorities said.

Just after 2:30 a.m., police responded for a welfare check at 203rd Street and Icefall Trail. They found the woman deceased.

The woman's identity is not yet known. "There is no known threat to community safety," police said in a news release.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
