TWIN CITIES, MN — With 2018 coming to a close, it's worth taking a lot of some of the biggest real estate-transactions made by local celebrities this year. Ricky Rubio, Garrison Keillor, and Karl-Anthony Towns are among those making big moves in the real estate market this year.

Below you'll find several mansions that were bought, sold, or put on the market this year by local celebrities:


Ryan Suter, the Minnesota Wild's 33-year-old defenseman, put his unbelievable Wisconsin estate up for sale this year. The Madison native had the impressive 12,000 square-foot mansion custom-built.

Minnesota Golden Gophers coach P.J. Fleck is the new owner of this 6,037 square-foot estate on Lake Minnetonka. The Nantucket-style beach house on Lake Minnetonka features a full bar on the lower-level, billiards room, and more.

According to Realtor, the home was sold on Oct. 31 for $1,710,000.

The Twin Cities Business Journal reported that the Fleck family purchased the home.

This high-class penthouse suite was purchased by Ricky Rubio, the former member of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rubio, bought the home for $1.20 million in 2016, City Pages reported.

Karl-Anthony Towns is going to be in Minnesota for a long time, so he might as well get conformtable. The Timberwolves' All-Star center has agreed to a five-year, $190 million super-maximum extension in September, and he's used part of that money to buy a beautiful mansion in the west metro.

According to the Pioneer Press, Towns bought ex-automobile mogul Denny Hecker's former home in Medina.
