Burglary Suspect Answers Home Phone While in the Act

When a neighbor noticed a suspicious person next door, she called the residence on the phone. The alleged burglar answered.

Police say an Eden Prairie man answered the phone of the home he was burglarizing.

Wayne Andre Delorius Falkner, 33, has been charged in court with felony second degree burglary. A conviction could result in up to 10 years in prison.

At about noon on March 27, officers arrived at a home on Willow Creek Road in Eden Prairie on a report of residential burglary.

A neighbor had noticed an unfamiliar black man in a bright blue jacket and black pants with a noticeable limp enter the home. She called the home, and he allegedly answered.

Police were notified and they found Falkner, matching the description, walking in the area.

Homeowners told police that the front door to the house was unlocked but that no one had permission to be there. Several bedroom drawers were open, but nothing was missing.
