Celebrating Unsung Heroes of Central Middle School

Mayor Nancy Tyra-Lukens and the Eden Prairie City Council will make an official proclamation, recognizing May 2 as "Central Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional Day."

For the third consecutive year, Central Middle School (CMS) Special Education Paraprofessionals are being recognized in a festive way.

Since 2010, local service organization Eden Prairie Women of Today (EPWT) will host a unique recognition luncheon on May 2 for more than 20 paraprofessionals. This year, Mayor Nancy Tyra-Lukens and the Eden Prairie City Council have an official proclamation, recognizing May 2 as “Central Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional Day.”

EPWT transforms the CMS lounge into a themed event, this year showcasing Mardi Gras. The meal, beverages and gifts are made possible by generous donations from local Eden Prairie businesses and individuals including EP Power Nutrition, CMS teachers, parents and the EPWT.
