Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Words in Action Contest
Eden Prairie youth are invited to participate in a contest in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Participants ages 18 and younger select one of Dr. King's quotes and express what it means to them through art, writing or audio/video.

Winners and finalists will be featured on the City's social media platforms on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Up to four winners will be recognized at the Jan. 19, 2021, City Council meeting. The submission deadline is Jan. 10, 2021. Learn more and submit an entry.
Watersheds Seeking Citizens Advisory Committee Applicants
The Nine Mile Creek, Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek and Lower Minnesota River Watershed Districts are accepting applications for their citizen advisory committees. The volunteer role helps advise the watershed district boards, voice community interests and concerns, and make decisions that impact clean water.

Outdoor Ice Rinks and Sledding Hill
Ice skating rinks continue to be prepared for the winter season. Staff will continue to monitor the condition of skating rinks and the Staring Lake Sledding hill, and will update the City website when they are safe for use. Please note, per Governor Walz's current executive order, warming houses remain closed until the state issues further guidance.
Holiday Hours
The City Center is closed Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. Holiday hours for other City facilities are available at edenprairie.org/Calendar.
